NimbusDCIM has been specifically designed to allow for rapid and secure deployment of cloud based monitoring and management of smart devices. Through the NimbusDCIM portal, you can manage the entire process of defining your product, mapping its data points, ordering and managing the required gateway hardware, and controlling the overall lifecycle of your offering and its cloud features.
Your end users will interact with NimbusDCIM via a branded version of NimbusDCIM. This portal can be customized with your organizations name, and can operate at a NibumsDCIM subdomain (i.e. yourname.nimbusdcim.com), your own subdomain (i.e. portal.yourdomain.com), or your own dedicated domain (i.e. yourportal.com). When users register via your branded portal, their organization will automatically be associated with your organization.
You will create a Product entry for each of your NimbusDCIM enabled products. You can create an unlimited number of Products, each with its own unique sets of data points, control functions, and user interfaces.
For each of your Products, you will define one or more data points that will be monitored or control functions that will be made accessible. Examples of data points include temperature, contractor status, and alarm conditions. Examples of control points include changes to operating sate (on/off) or set points. Data points are stored in the cloud, and can be presented in textual or graphical form within your user interfaces.
Once you have defined your data points and control functions, your development team can utilize standard Blade templates to build your user interfaces. Several example user interfaces are available. Your user interfaces will contain a visual representation of each of your data points and control functions. Blade templates provide you with virtually unlimited flexibility in customizing the appearance of your user interfaces and tailoring the design to your corporate brand.
NimbusGateways serve as the interface between your products and NimbusDCIM. They are factory configured as required for integration directly with your products. Utilizing MQTT or another industry standard IoT protocol, the NimbusGateway will establish a secure means of collecting your data points and exposing your control functions.
You may choose to manage the association of NimbusGateways to end users via the NimbusDCIM admin interface, or you may choose to have an Activation Code included with each NimbusGateway. When an Activation Code is provided, your end users can register their products directly via your branded instance of the NimbusDCIM portal.
The NimbusDCIM administrative interface provides your organization with the ability to monitor and manage all of its deployed products in real time. Utilizing Role Based Access Controls, you can grant appropriate members of your team the ability to view and control each of your units utilizing the same graphical interfaces available to your end users. Product-wide reporting and metric generation capabilities are also available.
